Dena got her second M.A.(first being in English) from Marylhurst University in Liberal Studies with a focus on Spiritual Traditions. This degree also pointed her toward training in Spiritual Direction -- a type of pastoral counseling that is centered on contemplative listening and providing questions for reflection. She went on to earn a 2-year certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Urban Spirituality Center, Portland, in 2009.  Dena is highly accomplished astrologer who created a podcast and has published several articles to name a few.

What an exciting treat! Qi gong pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Our healer, Sarah, master of TCM, is our teacher for this class. She uses TCM and Qi Gong to guide us in learning the role of the eyes and how we can support having clear perception in our lives. We utilize a series of Qi Gong exercises that promote inner and outer vision.
